It's not a folder permission error because I can get XMP files from the old scans in the same folder as the new scans. What's strange is that I have some older scans (also jpgs) that I can import into Darktable using "add to library" and it has no problem creating the XMP files for those images. I tried putting them higher up in the file structure, and shortening the names in case it was some kind of character limit issue, but that had no effect. When I use "add to library" to add these images, it does not create an XMP file for them. ![]() I just got some photos developed and scanned, and I copied the scans (they're jpgs) to my local storage.
